Lagos – Lagos State has emerged as the top earner of Value Added Tax (VAT) in Nigeria in 2024, generating a whopping N2.75 trillion. This figure significantly surpasses that of other states, underscoring Lagos’s dominant position in the country’s economic landscape.

Rivers follows closely with N832.69 billion, while Oyo secures third place at N272.41 billion.
