Goalkeepers
1. Stanley Nwabali (Chippa United, South Africa): Nigeria and Chippa Utd’s Nr 1 has started in all of Chippa’s 5 games this season, conceded 9 goals and can boast of 1 clean sheet while incurring a yellow card once. Against Richards Bay, he was stretchered off in the 35th minute due to an injury that made it look like he was gonna miss the 2 WCQs of Super Eagles but he regained fitness and returned against Orlando Pirates, one of South Africa’s finest to save a penalty, even though Chippa lost 3-0. Chippa are the basement team of the league 16/16, having lost 4 of 5 games and drawn 1.
2. Amas Obasogie (Singida Blackstars, Tanzania): He joined Singida SC from Fasil Kenema all in Tanzania on February 1, 2025 but he has yet to play a minute this season basically because the Tanzanian league hasn’t started. The last time he was on the pitch was on January 11, 2025 in a 1-1 draw against Hadiya Hossana. Having joined Fasil Kenema, his old club on March 14, 2024 and left less than a year later, the total number of matches he played before leaving were 11, conceding 10 goals and registering 1 clean sheet.
3. Adeleye Adebayo (Volos FC, Greece): Adeleye arrived at Volos on July 11, 2025 and has not been in goal this season for a minute. His previous club was Paralimniou of Cyprus, where he spent just about a year. He played 30 games and his last match was on May 11, 2025 in a match Paralimniou won 4-2. After 2 games, Volos are 14/14 in Greece, having lost both games.
Defenders
4. William Ekong (Al-Kholood, Saudi Arabia): He has played the only game of Al-Kholood so far in the new season and he was on the pitch for all 90 minutes but Kholood lost the game 2-1 to Al-Ettifaq and are 15/18 on the log.
5. Calvin Bassey (Fulham FC, England): Fulham have played 3 league games this season and Bassey has been on for all of the 270 minutes and has collected 1 yellow card. Fulham are currently 18/20 on the EPL table.
6. Olaoluwa Aina (Nottingham Forest, England): Like Bassey, has played the full 270 minutes this season and colelcted 1 yellow card. Forest place 10th on the log.
7. Bright Osayi-Samuel (Birmingham City, England): He made the move from Fenerbahce in the Summer’s transfer window to the Championship (Div 2) in England, Birmingham City precisely and has played all 4 games though was subbed once in the 81st minute and has been booked twice. BC are 10th on the log.
8. Bruno Onyemaechi (Olympiakos, Greece): Bruno has played only 9 minutes this season in the match against Asteras Aktor. He was not considered in the other game. After joining Olympiacos in January this year, he has now played a total of 15 matches. Olympiacos are currently top of the table in Greece with a 100% record after 2 games.
9. Chidozie Awaziem (Nantes FC, France): Chigozie moved from Colorado to Nantes in July and has quickly gone into the Nantes first team, garnering full times in all 3 games by the French club but he has 2 yellow cards to his name. Nantes are 13/18 Ligue 1 with 1 win in 3 games.
10. Felix Agu (Werder Bremen, Germany): The Bundesliga is 2 games old this season and Super Eagles new entrant has played all the games in his favourite left-back position. His club, Werder Bremen have a bit of catching up to do, as they 16/18 on the log.
11. Benjamin Frederick (Dender FC, Belgium): Up until the end of last season, Benjamin wasn’t getting games at Brentford but he has a new lease of life, following his transfer to Dender in Belgium, where he has posted 6 games already and played 422 minutes. It’s not easy times for Dender though, as they are the basement club in the Jupiler league of 16 teams
Midfielders
12. Alex Iwobi (Fulham FC, England): Iwobi’s major stats this season are starting 3 games (didn’t finish 2), 1 assist and 1 yellow card. Fulham are 18th in England.
13. Frank Onyeka (Brentford FC, England): While Frank has played in all 3 games by Brentford, his major challenge will be not getting enough minutes, as he has been on the pitch for 61 minutes.
14. Wilfred Ndidi (Besiktas FC, Turkey): Following the relegation of Leicester, Wilfred Ndidi moved to Besiktas, where he has been a starter in both Super Lig games of Besiktas, even though the league is 4 games old. He has also played 2 matches in the Conference League preliminary stage against Lausanne, which Besiktas lost on aggregate. Besiktas occupy 11/18 position of the Lig.
15. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (SS Lazio, Italy): Serie A is just 2 matches old this season and FDB, who battled an injury at the close of last season, has started this season on a good note, featuring in both games winning one and losing one and his time count on the pitch is 75+78 minutes.
16. Raphael Onyedika (Club Brugge, Belgium): From July 20 till date, Raphael has made a total of 10 appearances for Club Brugge including 4 in UCL preliminary stages against Salzburg and Rangers. He has contributed an assist, been booked once and finished 6 of those 10 games. Club Brugge are currently 4/16 on the log.
17. Christantus Uche (Getafe CF, Spain): Uche has just made the switch from La Liga’s Getafe to Crystal Palace in England. But before leaving, he had already played 2 full games of the 3-match old La Liga but it was in the very first game that he made his mark, scoring one goal and assisting the other in a 2-0 win.
Forwards
18. Ademola Lookman (Atalanta BC, Italy): Ademola Lookman has not seen a minute of football this season.
19. Samuel Chukwueze (AC Milan, Italy): Before the Tackleberry of Super Eagles moved to Fulham to join Iwobi and Bassey, he had featured for Milan only in a 25 minute cameo this season. Milan are 8/20 in Serie A.
20. Victor Osimhen (Galatasaray FC, Turkey): Victor was not available for selection in Galatasaray’s first game due to fitness issues. In the second game, he played 29 games but in both 3rd and 4th games, he played all 90 minutes and scored a goal each. Galatasaray are already top of the log with 100% record.
21. Simon Moses (Paris FC, France): Simon has near excellent stats for his new club Paris FC, which he joined this past July. Even though he hasn’t played all the 270 minutes in the 3 games of Paris (with subbing out in 72nd and 64th minute in consecutive games), he already has 2 goals and 1 assist. Paris FC though are 15/18 on the log.
22. Cyriel Dessers (Glasgow Rangers, Scotland): Cyriel started the season as Glasgow Rangers player but he has recently transferred to Panathinaikos, where he has yet to play a game. Of the 4 league games of Rangers, he appeared in 3, registering only 135 minutes and receiving 1 yellow card. Rangers have also played 2 legs each in 3 UCL preliminary games beating Panathinaikos and Vitoria Plzen but falling at the feet of Club Brugge. Cyriel played 26 minutes of both legs vs Panathinaikos; 129/180 minutes vs Plzen, scoring a goal in the 3-0 first leg win and no part vs Brugge because of injury, even though he was on the bench in the 2nd leg, in a tie Rangers lost 9-1 on aggregate.
23. Tolu Arokodare (KRC Genk, Belgium): Tolu has been making lots of cameos this season, as he has yet to play more than 25 minutes in any of the 5 games has played, including 1 in the Europa League against Lech Poznan. He has registered 1 goal. However, he will be resuming his league season with Wolves when he returns from the international break, having completed his transfer on deadline day of the window.
