A man, Musa Zayanu, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a 25-year-old man, identified simply as Mahmoud, to death around the Bolar Site area of Abule Egba, Lagos State.

During the fight which took place around 7 am on March 10, 2025, it was gathered that the fleeing suspect stabbed Mahmoud in the left side of his stomach.

Mahmoud was said to have bled profusely following the attack and subsequently died.

After perpetrating the crime, people in the area alerted the police around 9 am and policemen were detailed to investigate the case.

On getting to the crime scene, the policemen recovered the knife used in committing the crime and officials of the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit evacuated and deposited the corpse in the mortuary at the Mainland General Hospital, Yaba, for autopsy.

Contacted on Tuesday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, @BenHundeyin, said, “The suspect and exhibit have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department, Panti, Yaba. The investigation is ongoing.”
